BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Katie Herbert - Chair

Katie is the CEO and co-founder of Healthkind — a social impact-minded start-up on a mission to deliver personalized care, at scale. The small (and mighty!) community market at Sorauren reminds her of the roadside fruit and veggie stands of her hometown of Leamington, Ontario — the tomato capital of Canada.

Gideon Greenbaum-Shinder - Executive Director, Market Manager

Gideon Greenbaum-Shinder is a passionate community member, an amateur urban farmer, and a seasoned market manager dedicated to fostering vibrant, sustainable local food networks. With years of experience in event coordination and supporting local growers, Gideon curates a market experience that is welcoming, engaging and fun for everyone! He has a background in the arts. Telling stories through the lens of photography. Gideon loves his dog Levon, playing the bass, bad movies and cooking overly complex meals.

Colin Guldimann - Treasurer

An avid cook, baker, reader, amateur sommelier and (not so avid...) runner. He joined the Sorauren Farmers Market board to support the Market in its crucial food security and community building efforts, and in an effort to advocate for greater connections between people, farmers, the land, and the food they consume. An economist by training, he has spent the better part of his career researching the macroeconomic impacts of climate change in Canada at RBC's Climate Action Institute.

Jezebelle “Jzb” Mossong - Assistant Market Manager

Jzb is a professional freelance photographer with a passion for urban agriculture. Her focus is food sovereignty and ecological farming practices. From working as a farmer and vendor in a farmer's market, she now brings her experience together for the Sorauren Farmers' Market.
